It’s important to dispose of unwanted and outdated medicines safely. Incorrect disposal of unwanted medicines can be hazardous to the environment, animals and other people
Returning your medicines to us
To protect the safety of our staff, customers and the environment, please make sure you satisfy the following criteria:
- Only return medicines
- There are no needles or other sharps in your waste contents
- Don’t return anything else that may affect the health and safety of our staff.
What can I return?
We accept the following items for safe disposal:
- Tablets
- Creams
- Liquid medicines
- Powders
- Inhalers
- Ampoules
- Ointments
- Capsules.
Things we can’t accept:
We can’t accept the following items:
- Needles or other sharps
- Chemicals
- Veterinary products
- Dialysis kits
- Paints
- Solvents
- Oil
- Batteries
- Anything else which is not a medicine.
Please contact your local council for advice on the safe disposal of products that we cannot accept from you.
Is there a charge?
There is no charge for us to dispose of your unwanted medicines.
